One fateful day last summer in Washington Square Park, I looked up and saw those signature square shades staring back at me. That’s right – I saw Anna Wintour. Or rather, she saw me, as she breezed past in a high waisted skirt, a bright top and kick-ass heels.
If you, too, want the up close and personal Wintour experience (kick-ass heels included), then email events@pratt.edu by April 3rd for free tickets to see the designer-clad diva herself. Wintour, who has long avoided speaking engagements, will be making an exception next month. Vogue’s editor in chief will be speaking as part of the sixteenth annual Pratt Institute President’s Lecture Series at the school’s Memorial Hall Auditorium on Monday, April 19th. After, she’ll be joined on stage by the bespectacled editor at large of Vogue European, Hamish Bowles, for an audience question-and-answer session. |
Getting to see the fashion world’s most notorious editor in action and getting the chance to possibly ask her European counterpart a question? Now that’s like telling a girl she can have her Manolo Blahnik’s and wear them too!

Monday, April 19th, 6 p.m. at Pratt’s Memorial Hall Auditorium (Brooklyn Campus)
