City Pulse

By Lauren Torrisi

Fifteen bucks for a martini? Bahhh. Ten bucks for a beer? Ehhhh. With those prices, my bank account will look bleak the next morning. Luckily, our favorite spots are giving us some good deals to relieve the next day credit card trauma. Plus, do you really want the economy keeping you home on a Friday night? The answer is NO, people. The answer is no.

1. This celebrity hang out feels your pain. The Anchor offers a Recession Thursday special from 7pm-9pm. Twenty dollars for an all you can drink deal and there’s no harm done. 212.463.7406

2. Restaurants have also extended their happy hours, Cha Cha’s offers theirs from 3pm-7pm for a $5 per drink special. 212.431.9755. While Five Points offers happy hour from 5pm-7pm with $5 martinis and $2 oysters. 212.253.5700

3. I hesitate to tell you about this place. Grab 2 for 1 flavored martinis at Pazza Notte. Twelve dollars gets you double the trouble. Consider yourselves warned. 212.765.6288

4. I’m adding this place to my must-go list. Elettaria offers $4 beers, $7 cocktails, and $8 glasses of wine from 5pm-7pm. And with cocktails like the Rita Hayworth (Pineapple & Sage Infused Tequila, Lime, Honey), I might just stop by tonight. 212.677.3833
