|The North Shore Animal League America – the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization – has its annual life-saving adoption event, Tour For Life 2011 arriving in New York City on April 20th. The tour’s Finale will be at Radio City Music Hall, between 10am and 4pm, and will feature animal adoptions, appearances by the characters of Madagascar Live, and surprise celebrities.|
A worthwhile tour that kicked off in March, in partnership with PURINA ONE™, Tour for Life is the world’s largest adoption initiative aimed at reinforcing the importance and advantages of shelter pet adoptions and familiarizing communities with their local shelter. Two mobile adoption units have traveled across the country, partnering with more than 100 shelter and rescue groups in 37 cities in 19 states. These “shelters on wheels” are covering over 13,000 miles and help save the lives of thousands of animals across the country through humane education and mobile adoption events.
Country music star Wynonna Judd is the national spokesperson for the 11th annual Tour for Life.
