Where can you get your new favorite vintage dress, a funky end table for your apartment and a freshly baked ricotta empanada? Visit the Brooklyn Flea Market at one of its two prime locations in Fort Greene or under the Brooklyn Bridge and you’re sure to walk away with a shopping bag stuffed with one-of-a-kind goodies.

The vibe is that of a outdoor party where you just happen to be able to barter with the hostess for her beaded 40′s clutch. With oldies playing constantly from the stand selling hundreds of records and the smell of freshly baked pizza and organic coffee floating through the air, you won’t want to leave until you explore every stand. The vendors are open to bargaining and will even let you walk around in a dress you’re considering and suggest you check yourself out in all angles at the vintage mirror stand to encourage you to lay down your dollars.

For bargain hunters and vintage fiends alike, the Brooklyn Flea is a definite must-visit for summer. I know I’ll be there next weekend with my new pony-skin bag slung over my shoulder and a wallet full of cash itching to be spent on my next find.
