Fashion & Accessories

All that glitters may not be gold, but finding a line that complements your figure, sense of style and budget certainly is! SWITCH Gold Label, created by highly acclaimed designer Je Yong Jung, is making its mark in the industry as a women’s ready-to-wear line of classic and contemporary pieces for the young, fashion-forward (minded) professional. Now in its second season in the U.S. market, SWITCH maintains an impeccable balance of whimsical femininity and versatile functionality, which speaks to Jung’s appreciation for the beauty of urban architecture and eclectic design.

This new line depicts a confidence, clearly stating this isn’t Jung’s first foray into fashion. The former designer for Reaction by Kenneth Cole and Urban Outfitters, who currently resides in Thailand with his wife Rujira (also a gifted fashion designer), received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and an M.B.A. in Marketing. He was the recipient of the Designer of the Year Award by Columbus College of Art & Design. In 2008, Jung launched a successful men’s collection in Brooklyn called WRKROOM, which is now available in three countries; the U.S., Thailand, and Singapore. The label has been embraced by A-list celebrities, as well as the music industry elite.

From his Spring/Summer 2012 Collection, Jung delivers a wide assortment of staple silhouettes embellished with metallic detail, asymmetrical cuts, accents of loose drapery and color-blocking with pops of coral as a toast to the warmth of the new season. Jung is designing for every fashionable young woman who wants to look and feel beautiful. This objective is reflected in the structure of each piece and the choice of materials. A mixture of all-natural cotton, jersey knits and poly-blends enhance the light, fluid essence of the line as it elegantly adorns the contours of the female figure to provide an effortless sophistication from weekday to weekend.

At a recent showroom visit, I perused the racks admiring each layer-friendly item that emphasized how simple SWITCH makes it to mix and match a variety of new looks, or infuse a few key pieces into your closet to reinvent your wardrobe. Try on a bright bolero to add a pop of color to your little black dress, a striking striped jacket to break up a sequence of solids, or a clean asymmetric drape tank with one of this season’s hottest trends—the maxi skirt, to inject a little flair into your daily wear.

In his second season, Je Yong Jung has clearly demonstrated his ability to accentuate the female form with a simple, yet seasoned proficiency. His label is both affordable and fashionable, assuring that you don’t have to spend a lot to look great. So if you are breaking the bank, it’s time to make the SWITCH.
