When you think of Badgley Mischka you may not think of a Viennese Princess, who sneaks out to the disco to meet with her Russian boyfriend at night, but that magnificent storyline is the inspiration for Badgley Mischka’s AW14 collection. Throughout their collection you will find deep plum, soft blush and bold copper full of textured glamour and modern edge.

M.A.C Cosmetics leading makeup artist, Tom Pecheux created a look full of luxury and dramatic chic to compliment Badgley Mischka’s vision. With soft transparent skin and winter pink English cheeks, all focus was on the eyes. He decided to line the top lid with a thick gold liquid liner, paired with a thin black small 50’s inspired wing, leaving the bottom lashes blank. To finish the look Tom used a pinkish lavender lipstick to soften the look and to play with the blush and slate colors throughout Badgley Mischka’s collection.

Peter Gray, a lead hair stylist for Moroccanoil hair products, wanted to create a look that contrast the opulent mood of the clothing and that followed the natural flow with the model’s walk. He started off by separating the model’s hair in a side part with deep swept bangs. Peter wanted the top to be firm and luminous, while the back naturally outlined the back of the head, giving the hair definition. To complete the look he pined two strands of hair to the back of the head. A great tip Peter suggests for pinning hair or any hair accessory is to create a small braid underneath your hair, giving your pinned item something to grab onto.

To finish any look, as Deborah Lippmann would say, “you must have polished nails.” Deborah wanted to incorporate Badgley Mischka’s textured glamour and modern edge into her nail design. She started off by painting the nails with two coats with her new chrome nail polish coming out this fall of 2014. She then painted gold glitter by the nail cuticles, creating a backwards French manicure.

To create the hair and makeup, below are lists of products used by each artist to create their look.
