Audible gasps were heard throughout the Leanne Marshall runway show for her Fall Winter 2017/18 Collection. If there is one thing Marshall has mastered, it’s her ability to captivate an audience with her classic silhouettes and graceful designs. As models came down the runway it was hard not to think that we were seeing a preview of what’s to come on future star studded red carpets. This year’s collection was full of ethereal gowns that moved with the models and looked as if they belonged on the biggest names in Hollywood.
The collection was created in an array of shades including silver, gold and striking red. Each piece outdid the next. Among the 39-piece collection, standout pieces included:
A chocolate silk chiffon gown with mauve gray and shell pink draped accents
A chocolate silk chiffon dress with a pink deep v-neck bodice
a shell pink charmeuse v-neck gown with draped sleeves
A striking red v-neck double strap gown with a full silk organza skirt
The models hair and makeup matched the elegance of the collection. Hair, done by John Reyman for Aveda, was parted in the middle and then pinned back into curly, intricate updos. Makeup, provided by Janell Geason for Aveda, was detailed eyeliner designs to create a smokey look paired with a vibrant brick red lip.
Leanne Marshall’s collections each season embrace her love of classic and refined elegance and this collection was no different. The rest of this season’s collection and past collections can be found on her website.
