Fashion & Accessories

One of the best aspects of cold weather is the opportunity to layer without abandon. Sure we grasp every chance we get to layer oxford on vest on blazer or leggings under skirts and dresses, but how often do we stop to think about our footwear?

The following sock and footwear combinations are not only weather appropriate, but cute to boot.

These handsome Justin boots were handmade in the U.S. of A and crafted in single-stitched leather with a soft handfeel. They pair impeccably with these cable-knit angora knee socks from Soft Surroundings and as a whole feel very luxe. I also dare you to try and take these socks off without lamenting it a little bit.

Another fetching look for boots is pairing them with leg warmers. Leg warmers are back with a vengeance this season and I especially love this timeless fair isle print that complements everything from boots to sneakers in a cozy but cute fashion.

If you’re really looking for something of-the-moment then go with these ridiculously adorable wedge boots from Brazilian-brand extraordinaire Melissa. They give you just the right amount of height with a comfortable heel and their lace-up silhouette is the perfect opportunity to show off some funky socks or tights. I’m really digging Richer Poorer socks for their quality and unique prints, and while this pairing may not be for the faint of heart it’ll go great with some skinny denim, a plain top and pop of lipstick. Go get ‘em Tiger.
