Love, peace and light do indeed come from within and they are the inspiration for a new collection, exclusive to Barneys, from Sarah Horowitz-Thran.

Each fragrance is unique in tone and body, and can be worn layered or alone. Love Comes From Within is my favorite of the trio; I adore its top note of clove, perfect on a fall day. Middle notes of carnation and rose, with base notes of Tunisian amber, vanilla, musk and Indian sandalwood make for a rich, seductive fragrance experience.

Bergamot is the major player in Peace Comes From Within. This fragrance is truly an ocean inspired scent; distinctive fresh oceanic musk and meditative sandalwood are its base notes. They really come through, easily conjuring up memories of cool sparkling water. Peace, for me, is a calming, soothing scent. I find that it is also lovely layered with fruit scented fragrances.

Light Comes From Within is the sweetest of the three fragrances in Sarah’s trio. Bergamot is again the top note, but my nose zeroed in on the middle notes of freesia, honeysuckle and night blooming jasmine. White cedar and fresh oceanic musk are the base notes of Light.

I asked Sarah’s advice about layering the fragrances in the trio and she said,” It really depends on what you are feeling. Traditionally, you can layer them from dark to light (Love as the base, Light as the middle, Peace on top) – but there are no rules. Go with what you feel.”

Created to coincide with the heart (Love), mind (Peace) and spirit (Light), the Comes From Within Trio is Sarah Horowitz-Thran’s latest success in her career as a highly intuitive and inspired perfumer. As a treat for yourself or a gift for a loved one, Love, Peace and Light are sure to bring all the best in every one.

The Comes From Within Trio is available at Barneys stores and on line at Sarah will be appearing at the Beverly Hills Barneys store on September 8th 2006, between 1 and 4 pm.
