Jo Malone’s latest limited edition fragrance trio, London Blooms, was inspired by aromatic English gardens and botanical drawings, but I sense a hint of Downton Abbey’s timeless charm and three sisters as inspiration, too. The Iris & Lady Moore fragrance is an intriguingly spiced floral comprised of geranium, green ivy and fresh vetiver. White Lilac & Rhubarb is a more delicate blend of rose, rhubarb, heliotrope and lilac. And Peony & Moss rounds out the trio as an enticing fusion of light peony, blackcurrant, moss and ivy.

Like the three Crawley sisters on Downton Abbey, this fragrance trio has its charms and strengths as a whole and individually as well. I’ll let you decide which fragrance is most comparable to Mary, which would be best suited for Edith, and which is clearly the Sybil of the trio. The formidable Dowager Countess would approve of these fragrances, as they no doubt capture the sunlit glory of her English gardens in the south wing of the estate.
