My friend Beth Silverman is such a pro on heels, she could probably scale her next mountain in a pair, no sweat (Beth, if you are reading, that is neither a suggestion, nor a dare). Ms. Silverman is deserving of her alternate moniker, “Stiletto,” and wears it proudly. Me? Let’s just say I haven’t sharpened those stiletto skills. No matter; I’ve now got my very own Stiletto to wear, adore, and covet…even if it does measure a scant six inches or so (hey, it DOES arrive all nestled in a red satin-lined velvet shoe box). Fear not: while the adorable bottle of fragrance that is Stiletto by Nicole Amy does grab your attention, this Stiletto is no gimmick, all glam. I’ve grown addicted to this sultry and alluring, yet very fresh and somewhat powdery fragrance with accents of musk, vanilla bean, and sandalwood; best of all, it dries down to perfection – like your skin at its cleanest and sexiest, just…better. To paraphrase Nancy Sinatra: This Stiletto was definitely made for wearing. Available at select boutiques and online; see for more information or to purchase.

Victoria’s Secret recently launched fragrance collection, Love is Heavenly, is said to be the brand’s most romantic yet, inspired by that “exhilarating moment when a crush becomes something so much more.” The sister scent to the beloved Dream Angels Heavenly collection, Love is Heavenly is a feminine, romantic fruity-floral with a youthful appeal and pink hue. There’s a lightness here that seems suited for every day and any occasion; a freshness that’s perfect for spring. Top notes include Mandarin Blossom, Dewberry, and Kiwi Splashes; middle features Water Lily, Freesia, Peony, and Exotic Orchids, and dry-down is Sandalwood, Mahogany Wood, Ebony Wood, and Luminous Musk. Collection includes eau de parfum, body mist, body lotion, and perfumed body cream. Available at Victoria’s Secret stores and online at

Limited Editions launching this month at Victoria’s Secret are two new summer-ready interpretations of the brand’s wildly popular Victoria’s Secret Bombshell and Victoria’s Secret Angel fragrances. Victoria’s Secret Bombshell The Summer Edition adds some lush, exotic appeal to the glamourous aura of their original Bombshell, thanks to bright tropical notes like Starfruit, plus other delicious “ingredients,” i.e., notes of Jasmine Dew, White Amber, Pear Nectar, Wild Muguet, and Exotic Red Tea. Victoria’s Secret Beach Angel invokes your own private cabana hideaway, capturing “the essence of summer everlasting” and “vacation bliss in a bottle.” Top notes of Creamy Bartlett Pear, Mandarin, and Seaspray Accord are an open invitation to tangle amongst Amazonian Vines and “dive” deep into the Island Woods (sorry; couldn’t resist). Available for a limited time starting May 2012, exclusively at Victoria’s Secret stores and
