Trish McEvoy Sexy #9 reinterprets the ultra-popular #9 Blackberry and Vanilla Musk as an exotic and sultry scent. Heady Italian bergamot and earthy patchouli balance out the light, bubbly sweetness of the original; staying power is admirable. This perfume sinks into your skin and holds on, drawing those closest to you even closer to enjoy. Available at Saks Fifth Avenue and at

Pacifica’s delightful bar soaps and candles have a devoted following among beauty lovers and responding to demand, the line has finally launched a signature line of fragrance. Developed by Pacifica co-founder Brook Harvey Taylor, the scents are comprised solely of essential oils, plant essences and natural grain alcohol. Available in five scents: Vanilla Vera Cruz, Nerola Orange Blossom, Tahitian Gardenia, Mediterranean Fig and my personal favorite, Waikiki Pikake – a light but heady floral that will transport you to Hawaii in an instant. Visit or Whole Body (260 7th Avenue, NYC) to purchase.

Created by Isabelle Masson-Mandonnaud and husband Dominique Mandonnaud, (best known as the founders of Sephora), Crazylibellule and the Poppies is a new line of reasonably priced fragrance solids ($16/each) that have taken the perfume world by storm.

Named for dragonflies (‘libellule’ en francais, merci beaucoup), who delicately hover in the air and then lightly touch town as a delicately crafted fragrance does, the line is designed to mix, match or layer. Try Blue Orchidee for date night, with top notes of bergamot and citrus; heart notes of jasmine, rose, ylang; and base notes of sandalwood, vanilla, musk. Available at select Anthropologie stores and at

Launched in May, the alcohol-free and limited edition FlowerbyKenzo Summer Fragrance contains the original notes of this best-selling scent (rose, violet, white musk) with the summery additions of bergamot and citrus fruits. The final product is a delicate floral with a mild effervescence bottled in a graceful frosted bottle, with a delicate arch that evokes a floral stem. Lasting power leaves a bit to be desired but hey, nothing is perfect, right? Available at
