British designer Paul Smith has unveiled a new fragrance, simply dubbed Paul Smith Floral. Paul Smith Floral is a fruity floral mix designed to invoke the flower power spirit of the 70s. That may be so, but this universally flattering fragrance is chic enough for elegant ladies, hipsters, and barefoot hippie chicks!
The flirty top notes of Sweet Orange, Pink Grapefruit, Fresh Ginger, and Water Lily are spiked with White Magnolia and Orchid middle notes, which in turn are laced with richer, muskier bottom notes of Amber, Musk, and Tonka Beans. The fruity floral notes actually blend well with the heavier bottom notes for Paul Smith Floral, which is a scent that absolutely pops. Surprisingly, it manages to be sweet without being cloying. It’s also fresh enough to wear during several seasons, namely fall and winter, as well as the early days of Spring. It?s definitely too heavy for summer, but then again, what perfume isn’t? Nevertheless, Paul Smith Floral will certainly work for most months of the year.
You’ll need liberal doses in order to keep the scent lingering all day because while it is strong, it does not last. A light misting does not last nor does it do the scent justice, so we recommend spritzing every pulse point for maximum effect. Don’t forget behind your knees and in your cleavage, ladies.
While the scent of Paul Smith Floral is sweet and youthful, the lacquered white bottle is sleek and pleasing to the eye but it is a tad awkward to handle due to its Hershey Kiss like shape. But other than that, this scent is aces.
Paul Smith Floral is available exclusively at Neiman Marcus, and is priced at $90.00 for 3.3 fl.oz. and $70.00 for 1.7 fl.oz.
