Hair Care

By Stef Schwalb

It’s the day every girl has dreamed of, so of course you want a glorious crown to match your fabulous gown. But what if time does not permit you to grow your hair out to the desired length? What if you enjoy a shorter ‘do and just want some strand enhancement for this one special occasion? Or maybe, you just want a few highlights but don’t like any chemical treatments taking their toll on your tresses. Let me introduce you to Easihair extensions. This line of 100% protein-enriched human hair extensions is great find. I think they are a super style option for brides – and also for sassy single gals whether we are attending a wedding or just heading out on the town. I have relatively thin hair and tested out a set of these easy to clip in strands for a few weeks with great results. I recently had a reunion with some pals from Australia, who commented on the thick appearance of my hair and the extraordinary length it had grown since the last time they had seen me. Little did they know…most of the hair wasn’t mine! I found the application part a breeze, and the color combined nicely with my own.

Easihair extensions come in two varieties: EasiXtend (the full hair extensions) and Easilites (the highlights). The EasiXtend set consist of nine 16-inch, clip-in extensions of varying widths that add immediate volume and length. There are 16 unique color blends that work to match every hair color and hair hue combination. Among the colors offered are Hot Fudge, Butterscotch, and Strawberry Shortcake – brown, blonde, and red, respectively.

The company describes their packaging as “prét-a-porter” – right out of the box. This makes it very convenient to store when you are at home or on the go. What’s amazing as well is that you can also apply any product to the extensions, just like your own hair. They can also be professionally colored, highlighted, flat-ironed or curled, which would come in very handy on a wedding day.

For a sampling of what women might want for their big day, what follows is a few photos of Easihair in action.

Here’s a before picture of a model with hair that falls mid-neck:

Now for Example 1 of straight lengths added to her strands and pulled back to the side in a sophisticated and sleek style:

Before we “head” on, let’s go back and finish explaining the brand…Easilites comes in a set of six 16-inch, clip-in highlights that runs the color gamut of natural shades to extreme, “girls just want to have fun” tones. Just like EasiXtend, Easilites can be styled a number of ways and product can be applied to them with ease. Easilites are available in 11 colors. Some of the hues include Persimmon (auburn red), Honey Glaze (light blonde), and Bubblegum (hot pink). Again using the same model as before, here’s what she looks like in a different bridal style with Easilites hues added in:

Last but not least, it won’t matter if you are always a bridesmaid and never a bride. Since anyone can wear Easihair, luscious locks are yours for the taking whether or not you find your bridesmaid’s dress tasteful! Luckily, our model wasn’t trapped in a fuchsia fashion faux paus. Instead she looks glamorous in green with loose curls to love:

Easihair is a simple style option to indulge in instead of opting for sometimes expensive sewn-in extensions or highlighting treatments. These products are relatively inexpensive. EasiXtend retails for only $250; Easilites for $50. For more information, go to for a list of e-tailers and/or retailers near you.
