Hair Care

By Lauren Sigmon

In my everyday life, I’m not much for sparkle. However, once the holidays roll around, I’m ALL about a little festive glitter and shine. One of the easiest ways to do it is with hair accessories.

What are you waiting for?! Here are some no-fail ways to dress up your hair tonight:

Embellished Hair Combs and Ties: Whether you’re looking to hold your hair back or dress up a ponytail or bun, a hair comb or tie can add just the right amount of bling to dress up a look. Deepa Gurnani makes beautiful accessories, like the floral crystal embellished comb (left) and the crystal ponette set (right), both available at Shopbop.com

Hair Glitter: Keeping your ‘do simple this season? Add a touch of gold shimmer spray for some added flair with GG Gatsby Glam It Up Shimmer Spray. Bonus – this spray smells good too, featuring hints of mandarin, vanilla orchid, orange flower and sandalwood. Available at Amazon.com

Fancy Headbands: Headbands are the perfect holiday hair accessory because they’re so versatile. Choose one with a little (or a lot) of sparkle to be worn within your hair, or make it the focus of your look by wearing it high across your forehead. I like the Jolie Coco headband in gold (top) and the Jolie Mia headband (bottom). Both are available at JolieUSA.com

Whichever method you choose, these are simple ways to dress up your holiday look that won’t break the bank. So go ahead, have a ball with sparkles at your next holiday ball!
