Tosler Davis founders Alan Tosler and Sean Davis created an extraordinary salon above Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron district. Light-filled, modern and staffed with genuinely friendly people, it’s a place where you can be assured of a sophisticated cut tailored specifically to your face shape and personal style. A favorite for media and art world mavens, co-owners Alan Tosler and Sean Davis are the standard bearers of cuts and color (respectively). This is a salon worth seeking out because the results are predictably elegant, fresh and professional.
A visit to www.toslerdavis.com will provide a glimpse of this beautiful salon, along with some quirky personal info about the staff and founders.
I went in and bravely asked for whatever cut Alan Tosler wanted to give me, and left with a style that is sheer genius in design and simplicity. Not only does it complement my too-round face, but it brings out my cheekbones, and is offbeat enough to be interesting and appropriate for all occasions. I felt as though Tosler had read my mind.
Another refreshing aspect of this salon is that you’ll be told what works for your face and what doesn’t – which is useful information, considering that your bone structure isn’t likely to change. Tosler and Davis and their staff like to know what their clients want, expect and enjoy, as it helps them determine how a haircut and/or color can complement a lifestyle. Also, they seem to revel in their clients, and clearly approach their craft as artists.
