This month, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, many of your favorite salons and brands are raising awareness and funds through special deals, steals, and donations.

In one simple act, you can look good and do good. Check out a few we found!

Ouidad New York Salon
After making a full recovery herself, Ouidad created Curls for a Cure®, a donation program toward breast cancer research with a dollar to dollar match made by Ouidad.

This month, Curls for a Cure will benefit from the addition of the Treat for a Cure program. Select Ouidad certified salons will donate all proceeds from select Salon Series treatments, including the Mediterranean Bay Leaf Exfoliating Hair & Scalp Treatment and Omega-3 Replenishing Hair Treatment, toward Curls for a Cure to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.

Sexy Hair
Sexy Hair has released a new, special edition ombre design collection with a percentage of net proceeds being donated to Look Good Feel Better, a public service program that aims to improve the self-image and appearance of people undergoing treatment for cancer. Services include complimentary group, individual and self-help beauty sessions.

Joico’s “Style for a Cure” campaign offers special “2 for $22” duo deals featuring special editions of its top stylers, including JoiMist Firm hairspray and JoiWhip foam. Product sales will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Visit for more information and check to see if the salons in your area are hosting “Beauty for Hope” fundraisers to help support City of Hope Cancer Research, Treatment, and Education.

It may seem like a small act to get your hair done or purchase a product all in the name of Breast Cancer Awareness, but when these so-called “small acts” add up, a lot of progress, awareness, and donations can be made. And hey, you’ll look better in the end – win win.
