Posh Pashah

Ever wonder where that Prada wearin’ devil goes to get her hair done? Well…psssssttt…head up Madison Ave and when you get to number 601, near 58th St. you’ll see the Emporio Armani store. Go upstairs to Pashah and find yourself in a zen-like loft of hair styling perfection.

The furniture is crisp and clean—white leather, and rich woods cover the walls. Custom-designed work stations and sinks give the space a unique yet seductively intimate appeal. Outside there’s a terrace, complete with daybed, which I imagine is fabulously appealing during the warmer months of the year.

Owner Pancho Soekoro has a philosophy about hair: keep it healthy. He has a knack for producing fresh, flattering and customized styles and a reputation as a fixer of other (reads “lesser”) stylists’ botched jobs. Pancho has worked at several top salons in the city before joining their exclusive club. He also has a line of hair care products from his native Indonesia, to keep his clients looking gorgeous between visits.

Salon hours: Mon - Sat / 9 am - 7 pm. Phone: 212.371.7337
