Ah December! When the cold blustery weather arrives so do family visits, tree trimmings, and the cravings to watch ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ and ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ for the upzillionth time. While holiday cheer abounds during this month, December can also bring tremendous stress for many of us. Between shopping for that perfect little stocking stuffer, travel delays, office parties, visiting family, and trying to plan the perfect holiday dinner party (which fits everyone’s “diet of the moment” restrictions), working-out tends to get pushed away until resolution time. No matter how time crunched you are, lift your spirits and those dumbbells; it only takes 20 minutes to feel the benefits of this BN exclusive total body work-out.
With the holiday crazies quickly approaching, we asked Jose Gomez, a personal trainer at Peak Performance, New York City’s premiere private training facility, to develop a quick 20-minute Total Body Workout specifically created for those of us who have only 20 minutes to spare in between pie baking and last minute gift buying.
Quick 20 minute Total Body Workout for Beauty News NYC:
1 min Warm-up Stretch
4 SETS: 30 sec Jumping Jacks/30sec Pushups/1min Rest
4 SETS: 1 min Running with Knees Up/1 min Bicycle Kicks/1 min Rest
4 SETS: 1 min Side Step Running / 10 sec Plank Position Hold – 5 sec rest (do the plank hold/rest 4 times in a row) /1min rest
1 min Cool Down stretch
This quick high-intensity holiday workout is short, sweet, and hits all the points needed to let you enjoy that extra cup of eggnog we’re sure you’ll indulge in.
