Babor products are absolutely divine and they were designed by makeup professionals, with your face shape in mind in so you can play up your features accordingly. Housed in gorgeously lavish and refillable gold cases, the eye shadows offer stay-all-day color, namely Plum and Matte Clay, which allow you to achieve the still-hot-this-season purple smoky eye. The halo of color is absolutely stunning. The Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Cinderella boasts iridescent, prismatic shine, and I recommend this highly for those days when you only have time to gloss and go. It lights up your whole entire face beautifully.

Josie Maran is a favorite brand among BN editors, especially me. The model’s GOGO (Get One Give One) Natural Volume Argan Mascara is one of the most glossifying and volumizing mascaras on the market; it’ll create black-as-midnight, dewy eye fringe with its compact brush. It’s uber cute, too, with hearts drawn on the wand. Even better, for every tube sold, Maran will donate a mascara to City of Hope cancer patients and survivors.

Available at Sephora locations or http://www.sephora.com.

If you desire an angelic whisper of pink color on your cheeks and one that you can also apply to your lips, I suggest Becca Lip & Cheek Crème. It’s dewy and soft and you’ve never looked so pretty in pink during the transition from Summer to Fall; it looks breathtaking on bronzed goddesses as well as those of us with porcelain complexions. Swipe on your apples and dab a touch on the center of your lips, right under your cupid’s bow, for barely there glow. Petal and Tuberose are my faves.

Not all lip glosses are created equal and I would know, as it is my favorite product and one I test religiously within the inches of this column. However, a slick of Koh Gen Do’s Maifanshi Lip Gloss in Juicy Beige or Shell Pink glazes your kisser with the right amount of sexy shine, all the while moisturizing and plumping with ingredients we love like shea butter, jojoba seed oil and honey. The palette is comprised of pretty neutrals that are anything but boring. Shine on.

Available at Barney’s New York and Los Angeles locations.

Boudoir Mist at first glance might seem like something Beauty News should cover in the fragrance section, but thankfully for me, it’s not! Napoleon Perdis Boudoir Mist Spray Foundation from his decadent, luxurious The Divine Marchesa collection gives you a flawless, airbrushed look with one simple, luxe spray. The whole range of products looks to a historical figure, Luisa Casati, for its inspiration and the effect is the equivalent of a classic painting from the 1800s: flawless and canvas-like. The aerosol formula is light and blendable and its ease of use is surprising; you can use your fingers, a sponge or makeup brush to apply or build different levels of coverage. The product is on par with professional airbrush makeup, at a fraction of the cost. Fall brides, take note!

Available at Napoleon Perdis locations, Ulta Locations and Ulta.com.

Make Up Forever is relaunching its lipstick range with Rouge Artist Intense. It’s now 50 shades deep – red, pink, purple, gold, nude, you name it, MUF has it- and they are boosted with 50 percent more pigmentation than average lipstick formulas. The color payoff is stunning and there’s no guess work, because the powers-that-be at MUF have created a shade finder/color wheel. So head over to your favorite Sephora location or to http://www.sephora.com and play with the shades or consult the color finder to see what works best with your hair and skin tones.

And since reds are more in than usual this Fall – and really, when does red ever go out of style for lips?- there are 11 flame-colored lipsticks for you to choose from. I also highly recommend using a lip brush, like MUF’s #3N, to apply, rather than straight from the tube. Paint your lips with this creamy, silky formula. (Pssst, for more on red as a trend this Fall, see our accompanying story this month!)

Available at Sephora or sephora.com.

Coola Liplux allows for happy and healthy, soft lips for Indian summer and beyond. It’s organic, infused with a lickable, peppermint vanilla cooling flavor and is formulated with several fruit butters. It’s also color-free so your beloved can borrow it. It’s a crucial product to apply at night, after you’ve been wearing lipstick all day. It’ll restore your moisture balance. Also, a less splurge-y alternative is Nivea’s Kiss of Smoothness, which is ultra moisturizing and available everywhere.

Available at http://www.coolasuncare.com and at select specialty boutiques.

For a mass market line, L’Oreal’s Studio Secrets Professional collection could go mano y mano with MAC or any Sephora-approved brand. The Color Smokes Eyes Shadow collection handles high intensity pigments, numbers stamped into each shade in the quad for foolproof eye smoke outs. The shade range is also flattering and expansive: you can do edgy black and silver with Blackened Smokes or an earthier tone with Forest Smokes.
