Grove New York Eau de Parfum is a uniquely summery scent featuring Palm Beach Orange Flower blended with spicy, warm Bermudian Bay Rum. Fresh, with a touch of warmth; sultry, yet also innocently playful. Grove intoxicates with a mellow, languid, lingering sense of summer ease that’s …this cocktail is at first as bracing as it is sweet. Truly addictive to spritz and sniff, Grove is sunshine on your shoulder and quirky summer lovin’ in a bottle. Thankfully, this addictive fragrance is also available in richly moisturizing and wonderfully gentle Grove New York Goat’s Milk Soap, as well as a Grove New York Scented Soy Candle.

L’Occitane’s Exclusive Summer 2011 Collection is enriched with organic Verbena extract from the island of Corsica. Fittingly called Sun Verbena, this refreshing floral citrus is a soft, radiant take on sometimes-sharp verbena. Sun Verbena eau de toilette is a unisex floral citrus featuring top notes of Verbena, Lemon, and Grapefruit, a heart of Orange Blossom, Citrus Zest and Jasmine, and a base of Vetiver, Cedar, and Musks. Light and luminous, it’s a perfect tonic for those sweltering, scorching dog days and heat waves of August; in fact, it was created with sun-exposed skin in mind. Spritz over Sun Verbena Protective Body Lotion SPF 15, a nourishing, lightweight fluid that shields skin from damaging UV rays while delicately scenting skin with its namesake fragrance. Discover the entire collection at the new L’Occitane boutique in the meatpacking district (48 9th Avenue), and at L’Occitane boutiques nationwide, or online at usa.loccitane.com.
Coach’s latest entry into its Poppy fragrance world is the new Coach Poppy Flower. This romantic, dewy bouquet veers more towards the floral than the fruity (unlike predecessor Coach Poppy). Poppy Flower opens fresh and inviting, with citrus, wet ivy, and lychee, then moves into a feminine, breezy heart of jasmine, roses, water lily, and peony. Apricot skin, soft sandalwood, amberwood, and sugared raspberry keep it youthful and charming, yet sensual and chic. This fun-for-now fragrance will also blend well with fall’s upcoming, crisper tapestry.
Available at Coach stores and Coach.com in August; select department stores to follow.
Legendary designer Oscar de la Renta turned to his daughter Eliza for help creating Esprit d’Oscar, a modern interpretation of the designer’s classic signature scent. Esprit d’Oscar is a floral-oriental that opens with a citrus bouquet of Sicilian lemon, bergamot, and citron. Egyptian jasmine, orange flower and tuberose (though it’s not a lush, wayward
tropical tuberose; this one is a little more chic, and in-check) comprise the heart of this feminine fragrance, which has a warm, sexy base of musk, heliotrope, tonka bean and vetiver. Classy, chic and sensual, Esprit d’Oscar is certainly timely elegance, and who knows; it may even prove timeless. Available at Macys and online at http://www.macys.com.
