Metro Man & Metro Home

Even if you don’t go on a tropical vacation this winter, it doesn’t mean you can’t feel and look like you did. Gentlemen, it’s time to get away for a day of total relaxation and pampering. Ok, I know what you guys are thinking, “the spa is for women” or “I might feel out of place”, but rest assured, there are establishments more than accommodating to men.

I’ve listed a few spas in New York City where you can get the royal treatment and still feel like a guy. Don’t be scurred!

Paradise Men’s Spa feels just as any place bearing that name should feel — like paradise.
This spa, aimed specifically to men, evokes a calming, Zen like and rejuvenating feeling all in one. If you’re an everyday guy, like most of us, who wants your spa experience to be private, professional, and well worth every dollar spent, this spa is for you. Located in Midtown West, ‘Paradise’ has Grade ‘A’ service (massages, facials, mani/pedi, waxing, etc…) and an overall soothing, yet man-friendly atmosphere.

Nickel Spa for Men is certainly worth more than a nickel. In fact, vastly more! Created by a man for men, this cozy yet chic establishment located in Chelsea is the perfect getaway for guys. Not only do they offer standard spa services, but also hair salon/barber services, as well as sunless tanning. After that revitalizing massage and facial, you can truly look sun-kissed, as if you’re fresh from vacationing on the beaches of Saint Tropez. Equipped with specialized and cutting-edge services targeted towards men, Nickel gives you an experience that you will want to relive over and over again!

Rehoboth Spa Lounge is a true gem, located in Greenwich Village. Though not exclusively for men, the atmosphere is so inviting and gender-neutral that you won’t care. No funny stares when you walk in. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating, the private rooms smell amazing, and the heated massage/facial tables will probably put you to sleep (couple’s massage rooms available also). The staff is very knowledgeable if you have any questions, and they offer all the goods at an affordable price. The cleanliness, combined with the serenity, and stellar professional service makes Rehoboth a great contender for any spa list in NYC. Not overcrowded either.
