Following are our recommendations when raising a glass for the holidays. We selected Fairmont Hotel Barware, Apothic Inferno wine, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum and Raphael Merlot.

apothic

Apothic Inferno is inspired by the whiskey-making techniques of barrel-aging, The wine is aged in white oak, whiskey barrels, bringing wine and whiskey enthusiasts alike a new way to experience wine. The process blends red and dark fruits with layers of maple and spice. We found Apothic Inferno to be full-bodied and rather strong with tannins. Pair it with a pot roast or lamb chops.

raphael

Raphael Merlot is made from the vintner’s finest estate grown fruit on Long Island. We found it to be a well-balanced, full-bodied wine full of complexity and flavor, softened by velvety tannins. Their reserve grapes are hand harvested, hand sorted and wild fermented. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels before bottling unfiltered and unfined. Try a glass for toasting holiday guests and pair it with a cheese platter and charcuterie.

sailorjerry

Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum makes the perfect holiday punch. This rum has a deep affinity for ginger root, a spice that originated in Southeast Asia. We recommend it for a holiday punch. Here are the ingredients: 1 part Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, ¼ part fresh lemon juice, ¼ part homemade ginger syrup, 3 parts black tea, however we also added 1 pint of lemon sorbet and a little bit of orange juice. Delicious!
