Metro Mama & Metro Baby

By Eva Whalen

Designers Teresa Ok and Meg Hoberman achieved the perfect balance of wonderment, simplicity, whimsy and quality with their endearing Kit + Lili line for babies and children.

Mini chocolate dots, owls, green bubbles, clovers, birds and flowers festoon the line’s gorgeous onesies, leggings, pleated skirts, tees and tops. Silk-screened silhouettes of farm and city-scapes are equally lovely and cute, as are the Poppy Tees in time for spring, and the Kit + Lili Desert Boots and Mary Janes – in colors such as violet, moss, crimson and chocolate.

The Kit + Lili line, devoid of gimmicks, offers a collection of modern, clean, thoughtful pieces at reasonable prices. Pleats, tucks, fabrics, colors and graphics seem to have been chosen with great care, resulting in a quality brand that can be trusted and favored.

This NYC-based brand in Tribeca has been discovered by celebrity moms (for example, Brooke Shields has placed some Kit + Lili pieces in her nursery) and admiring local parents as well. Sizes range from 3 months to 8 years. The Kit + Lili items you own will undoubtedly be the ones you save for posterity long after your child has outgrown his or her denim sailor top or green rainforest tee. The clothes are also available at Estella and Marchand de Legumes stores.

Visit to check out the line’s superb collection. Or, for more information call 646-415-8635, email [email protected], or visit 40 Worth Street, suite 1680, New York, NY 10013.
