As a mom, all we do is give, give, give, while our kids just take, take, take! But when it comes down to it, we wouldn’t have it any other way, right? Being generous, loving and supportive are simply inherent in a mother’s nature. So, for our charity issue, we here at Beauty News NYC are going to feature some of our favorite companies who, like all of us moms, are generously giving back to people deserving of some motherly love.
Coobie Seamless Bras
I’m not kidding…this is my favorite bra ever! There are so many ‘perks’ to this bra and I’m not even referring to how good you’ll look wearing your Coobie Seamless Bra. Available in neutrals and fun colors, this bra comfortably fits sizes 32A to 36D-DD.
They are all seamless, so no hooks or clasps. Each has removable pads and the straps are adjustable and removable (I actually made mine to fit under a halter – though you could opt for their strapless style instead). It’s also the perfect bra for nursing moms! And unlike with other stretchy, wireless bras, you won’t get a uni-boob with the Coobie. Visit http://www.shopcoobie.com and for the rest of October, Coobie will donate a portion of sales to the Susan Komen Foundation.
MD Anderson’s Cancer Center’s Children’s Art Project
The University of Texas MD Anderson’s Cancer Center’s Children’s Art Project (CAP) is a charitable, heartwarming go-to source for the perfect gift for mom. Since 1973, CAP has brought the imaginations of MD Anderson’s pediatric patients to life through a wide selection of quality products and seasonal gift items inspired by the whimsical art created by young cancer patients while undergoing treatment. All proceeds from CAP sales are invested directly back into pediatric patient programs at MD Anderson – adding zest, normalcy and promise to young lives interrupted by cancer. CAP has returned over $27 million to such programs since its inception. From stationery and ornaments to umbrellas and iPhone covers, it is the perfect place to shop for yourself and your loved ones. Mama Mio Clean Slate
The award winning (Parents Magazine) Clean Slate by Mama Mio is a sulphate-free formula that leaves your face feeling fresh, balanced and happy! This eco-certified cleanser is perfect for all women before, during and after pregnancy! It’s set in organic aloe leaf juice, pre-probiotics, firming proteins and moisturizing omegas, which gently remove makeup without over-drying or irritating skin. And its scent makes you actually want to go through your bedtime routine. It also comes with ‘Face Fitness’, a booklet which includes two 30-second exercises to relax and release facial tension as well as the ‘Little Book of Confidence’ with additional information on the product (not to mention mama mio’s thoughts on skincare and life). It’s like a trip to the spa in a bottle!
And this month, Mama Mio teams with Butter Lane cupcake bakery to support Look Good…Feel Better in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
