My children are my priority. They’re health, education, sleep habits, diet, schedules and overall happiness are almost entirely my responsibility. My focus, time and energy are devoted to keeping their lives running smoothly. As a result, my own health, education, sleep habits, diet, schedule and overall happiness fall by the wayside. That’s why I love New Year’s and the resolutions that come with it. I get to set new goals, start fresh and move myself up a few spaces on my proverbial list of priorities. Here are a few products that will give me, and hopefully others, the inspiration to start 2014 off right.
1. Get Fit
Lose It Health-O-Meter Personal Weight Loss System
Whose list of resolutions doesn’t include weight loss? The Lose It Health-O-Meter bathroom scale uses Bluetooth technology to connect consumers to three million people who share the same goal of getting healthy and staying on track. Simply turn on the Lose It!® app on your Smartphone and connect to the scale, step on the scale, and weight information is automatically updated. Consumers can use the app throughout the day to track exercise, enter or scan food choices, and easily track calories from a database of thousands of meals, snacks and restaurants. Consumers have already lost more than 14 million pounds with Lose It!® Available at http://www.amazon.com and http://www.HealthoMeter.com.
2. Stay Organized
Coin – The Solution to Bulky Wallets
Need a bandaid? Got it! Some wipes? No problem! Moms are prepared for even the most random of circumstances. So why not cut down on all that bulk and clutter with the ultra cool and practical Coin. Coin is a device that can hold and behave like the cards you already carry. Coin works with your debit cards, credit cards, gift cards, loyalty cards and membership cards. Instead of carrying several cards, you carry one Coin. Multiple accounts and information all in one place. Their mobile app will allow you to add, manage and sync the cards that you choose to store on your Coin. The process of adding card information to the mobile app is very simple and is done by taking a picture or two and swiping your Coin through a small device they provide you with. I don’t know about you, but they had me at ‘gift cards’. Visit http://www.onlycoin.com and pre-order yours for half price.
3. Encourage Reading
Mee Genius Reading Program for Kids
We’re all guilty of giving our kids the smart phone or iPad when we’re in need of some quiet time to ourselves. Well now, guilt be-gone with the MeeGenius reading app for both experienced and emerging readers. This any-device subscription-based digital library for children, with 700 classic and original children’s titles makes learning to read fun! Books on MeeGenius include optional “read to me” narration so kids can have a book read to them while each word is highlighted, promoting comprehension. MeeGenius is also organized into categories by genre, gender and age so the library is super easy to navigate through. It’s the content, not the devices, parents should be concerned with; so encourage reading, spend positive screen time with your kids by reading with them or foster their independence with this highly educational program. 4. Be Charitable
