It’s not every day you can take your dog to a ball game. But each summer, the Brooklyn Cyclones (http://www.brooklyncyclones.com) invite fans to bring their dogs to the annual Bark in the Park baseball game at MCU Park in Coney Island. It’ll all go to the dogs!
Bark in the Park 2012
Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 7:00 p.m.
MCU Park, 1904 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn
It’s a pet themed day as the Brooklyn Cyclones take on the Tri-City Valley Cats! The stadium’s bleacher section — renamed “The BOW-WOW Zone” for the night — will be reserved for those who bring their pooches to the game.
There will also be pet adoptions. Meet dogs and cats from Sean Casey Animal Rescue (http://www.nyanimalrescue.org) adoption van in front of MCU Park, 4:00–8:00 p.m. This organization takes in rescued, confiscated, neglected, injured, ill,?unmanageable, or otherwise unwanted animals from private owners, zoos, shelters, and other public organizations.
Enjoy a special exhibition by the Disc Dogs, the talented Frisbee-chasing canine performance team from Animal Farm Foundation (http://www.animalfarmfoundation.org). And witness a pre-game doggy wedding on home plate courtesy of Canine Celebration (http://www.caninecelebration.com).
Tickets are $10 and include one person and up to two dogs; seating in the bleacher section. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals. To purchase tickets in advance, call (718) 382-2604; on day of the game, purchase tickets at the Cyclones’ box office.
