Metro Pets

By Amy O'Connor

My dog, Biscuit, has happily found out that an elegant and functional crate cover from BOWHAUSNYC turns a dog crate from an inhospitable cage into a luxurious and cozy den. Like an overtired toddler, Biscuit initially resists being put into her crate at bedtime, wanting to stay up with her humans just a bit longer, but ultimately she’s relieved to have her own quiet spot to curl up undisturbed, and she falls fast asleep until morning as long as her crate is covered. Without a cover she’s distracted by light and noise and cries to be released, but her crate cover shuts out any disturbances and lets her drift off into doggy dreams in peace. BOWHAUSNYC crate covers are 100% cotton, machine washable and have two panels that can be rolled up and fastened with Velcro to allow for increased air circulation and optimum visibility. I leave one panel rolled up during the day with the crate door open, and Biscuit goes in and out as she pleases. I particularly appreciate the clean design and great workmanship as well as stylish details including a decorative valance with contrast piping. The covers come in three sizes, in solid cotton canvas or prints and matching beds are also available.
