Metro Pets

By Amy O'Connor

I’m one of the few who haven’t played Angry Birds, but my dog, Biscuit is part of the Angry Birds hip crowd because she has several Angry Birds toys made by Hartz. The Two Heads plush toy is fun to play fetch or tug of war with; it sports a bird head on one end and a pig head on the other with a squeaker inside the middle and comes in Tiny Dog size 7” long or in a 17” long size. Biscuit was immediately taken with the Angry Birds Plush Ball with Sound Chip. The ball is a bird head that makes Angry Birds sounds, and Biscuit was determined to show that bird who’s boss; she eventually tore the beak open but still loves to play with it. The Angry Birds Flyer Tuff Stuff Dog Toy is made to last out of ballistic nylon with double stitched seams, and though it’s sized best for medium to large dogs who might enjoy catching it mid-air like a frisbee, my little Cairn loves to play tug-of-war with it or put her paws through the grip openings to better position the flyer for her attack on the bird head that squeaks in the center on one side and the pig head on the other side. There are Angry Birds cat toys too. It turns out Angry Birds make for happy dogs (and cats)!

Available online at Amazon, http://www.amazon.com and at Kmart http://www.kmart.com for locations.
