Dressing up for Halloween is always fun but it’s even more fun when you dress up your favorite fido. Canine costumes are cute, comfy and most importantly, put your pet in the spotlight. Shower some love on your pooch this All Hollow’s Eve and slip them into one of these adorable outfits.
If you don’t want to take your pets too much out of their element, dress them as another animal. Snatch up a skunk suit, giraffe getup or even a crocodile costume for your pet to comb the streets for candy and no one will be able to take their eyes from the cutest canine on the block.
Hungry For Love
For foodies, Halloween is an exciting time, FREE CANDY. So why not dress your precious pet as something you love – food. People can’t help but chuckle when a life size hotdog goes strolling by to check out the nearest hydrant or a 20lb lobster runs woofing down Park Avenue. Everyone loves good food.
For pumpkin picking bring your little barnyard bowwow dressed right as a friend of the farmer. Although their bark might stick out, dressed as a spotted cow or pinkish pig they’ll blend right in. Just make sure you get them home before it’s time to cook the bacon.
Halloween is the one time it’s ok to look ridiculous; so you might as well bring your pet along for the ride. Slap the cuffs on them or a colorful Hawaiian shirt (get one from your dad – he’s sure to have one). Just remember that after the night is over you might get the cold tail for a week.
Here they come to save the day! Faster than a speeding bullet…well maybe not exactly, but on Halloween anything is possible especially when fido is dressed as Mighty Mutt or Wonder Dog. Or let her use the force to bring the candy to you as Princess Leia. A girl can dream can’t she?
His and Hers
For two-fido families, don’t fret! Get your little darlings together for a téte-à -téte (tail-a-tail) to pick the ideal his and hers costumes. A bride and groom walking side by side in search of snackies is the perfect ‘I do’ for the male-female household. Or for the sports enthusiast, the cheerleader-football stud on game day brings cheers even without the touchdown.
No matter what your pet dons on Halloween, he’ll be the talk of the town. But remember a plain pet is a dime a dozen, so dress up your pooch in a captivating costume for a more exciting night of trick or treating (and trust us; you’ll get more treats out of it, too!).
