Last month in City Pulse we alerted our beautiful readers about a sewing event sponsored by the nonprofit Rational Animal (http://www.rational-animal.org). Well, November’s stitching pow-wow garnered many caring volunteers and proved mighty successful: A record 104 beds and 40 special cat toys were sewn and will be delivered this week to homeless animals residing in NYC shelters.
So get those pretty manicured fingers ready for another sewing session on Saturday, December 17th at:
Flirt Boutique, Brooklyn
303 3rd Avenue
(between 1st and Carroll)
Brooklyn, NY 11212
12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
RSVP: [email protected]
Let’s provide some soft comfort to those furry souls this holiday season as they wait for their new families!
And don’t worry, no sewing experience is necessary to participate. Visit http://www.rational-animal.org or call 646.450.6509 for more information.
