It’s Show Time!

The best dog show is upon us once again – The 133rd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show (http://www.WestminsterKennelClub.org). It doesn’t get any bigger or more spectacular than this. Get your furry eyeful by heading over to Madison Square Garden, New York on Monday and Tuesday February 9th & 10th. General Admission tickets are good for both day and night events. The seating however is on a first come first served basis and can only be purchased through Ticketmaster.com and the MSG box office. A new breed competing this year is the Dogue De Bordeaux, a type of French mastiff.

If you can’t make it over in person, then snuggle up with your favorite canine friend and watch the fur fly on USA Network (http://www.USAnetwork.com). It airs Live starting at 8pm EST. It’s great being able to vote online for favorites while watching the show. Of course this viewer voting makes absolutely no impact on the real judging but its fun to do anyway.

Just as important as the main event is the Best In Show, Angel On A Leash Benefit on Saturday February 7th at the Affinia Hotel, New York. Angel On A Leash promotes therapy dogs for rehabilitation, hospice, correctional and crisis intervention. It’s also supported by the Westminster Kennel Club. Special guests include former Best In Show winners, so this will be your chance to get up close and personal with doggy greatness!
