New York Week For Animals starts on Saturday October 2nd. In Central Park, there will be the Central Park Fall Fiesta: New York Week for the Animals Kick-Off Event that will take place no matter the weather, sun or not, rain or shine.

It starts early at 7:30am with free spay/neuter for dogs and cats on a first come, first served basis. Please get your pet spayed/neutered as all it takes are mere seconds for unwanted puppies or kittens to come into our world!

Adopt Pinocchio at ASPCA NYC
There is also free micro-chipping for dogs and cats from the morning to 3pm in the afternoon. At the same time, there will be pet adoptions, festivities and information like Poison Control, Emergency Preparedness information and Ask the Behaviorist

Taking place at the north end of Central Park at 110th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard, you can enjoy free popcorn and cotton candy! The event is free and open to the public.
