Stylish, cheeky and desired are adjectives that best describe the designs of Cassandra Gibbons. By day, she’s an Art Director for award-winning TV shows. But in her time away from the TV studio, Cassandra is also a designer of beautiful pet images that grace tote bags, t-shirts, cushions and many other everyday products. I sat down for a quick chat with this fun Pratt Insitute alumni to learn more about her beautiful line that is available on Society6.

BN: These dog images are very contemporary. Why did you design these dogs?
Cassandra: I started by illustrating my two dogs for my own amusement. Those drawings got a really good reaction from my friends and family. A few people said, “Oh that one reminds me of my dog!” which made me realize that people really respond to things that resemble their own pet. I started this series of different breeds so all dog lovers could get something that looked like their four legged friend.

BN: Who or what are your inspiration? I suspect that you have pets of your own.
Cassandra: My two doggies Rockwell and Clementine! They are my inspiration for all things cute and snuggly.

BN: This may be difficult to choose but which is your favorite and why?
Cassandra: I think my favorite is the Greyhound, because it reminds me of my sister.

BN:What if someone has a mutt, or a special request? Can someone request a custom dog design?
Cassandra: Yes, I create custom illustrations! People can contact me at cassandrabgibbons@gmail.com or my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/rocksandclem for more information.

BN: Cat owners will be jealous. Any plans for other animals?
Cassandra: I have done some cats for people, but dogs will always be my true love. Pigs are also a favorite of mine, so if someone wanted a custom illustration of their pig I would be all about it.
