Fall is the time for fun frolicking, like apple picking, pumpkin carving and dressing up for Halloween. Here are some autumn events to cure your end-of-summer blues:
Costumes from BrandsOnSale.com
Friends Of First Run (http://www.dogster.org) will host the 18th Annual Tompkins Square Halloween Parade on October 25th — it’s touted to be the largest non-competitive gathering of dog owners in the country. At Tompkins Square Park Dog Run (East 9th Street, between Avenue A and Avenue B) starting at Noon. There will be prizes in the following categories: “Best In Show,” “Best Costume – large & small breed,” “Best Dog with Kid,” “Best Dog Team Costume,” “Best Trick” and “Best Dog & Owner Combo.” Dressing up, make-up and a runway – what else does a fashion diva need?
