Skin Care

By Nakisha Williams

Since the days of training bras and tissue, many women have searched for a tried and true method to boost their bust. Breast augmentation can seem drastic, so many women turn to the number of products on the market that claim to have an easier solution. But can bust enhancement pills, creams, and breast suction devices really defy the laws of gravity and give women a lift?

Contrary to the “miracle in a jar” claims of products on the market, Dr. Stephen T. Greenberg, a New York cosmetic plastic surgeon, says that these methods are a waste of money and time. “Some people may experience very short term results,” said Dr. Greenberg, “but the majority of patients do not see results at all.” Although he has been on the lookout for such products that actually yield results, Dr. Greenberg said he has not found one yet.

The truth is: short of surgery, there is no fly-by night bust treatment that will produce a Pamela Anderson sized set, but many bust enhancement creams are not claiming to make your cup runneth over anyway. Most bust creams work to tighten up the appearance of the soft skin around the breast for a firmer, suppler look.

Although using creams to get a bigger cup size is going to work just as well as “I must, I must, I must increase my bust” exercises of the past, perk up! We’ve found a few creams that might make your twins a little tighter.

Sisley Phytobuste Intensive Bust Compound, http://www.sisley-cosmetics.com

This luxury cream does not run cheap, but Sisley boasts a 34% improvement in 3 weeks.
Sisley’s Phytobuste is a cream that aims to give the “natural bra” a firmer look by helping the skin regain tone and resilience. The light and airy cream is infused with botanicals, algae extract, and essential oils and is very easy to rub in. Sisley recommends applying it morning and/or night after a shower covering the breasts up to the neckline for 3 weeks.

Lierac Bust Lift Massage Cream and Lierac Bust Lift Tensor Spray, http://www.lierac.com
To battle a sagging set, Lierac offers a dual action product that fights to prevent loss of skin resilience and maintain radiance of the breast and décolleté.

The Tensor Spray works to help strengthen the bust support with a formula that includes elder and terminalia plant extracts. This spray aims to make the skin look firmer. The spray definitely makes the area around the bust look smoother, but has an odd shimmering quality to it that lasts long after it dries into the skin.

Working with the spray to improve the appearance of the skin, is the Bust Lift Cream. The thick pink cream carries a formula containing hazelnut glycopeptides that work to help firm a slacking bust. Setting this cream apart from the rest is its formula that helps prevent brown spots around the décolleté (Lierac attributes this to Japanese mandarin orange extract in the ingredients). The cream also has a surprisingly pleasant smell.

Lierac recommends using each twice daily for 28 days.

Mama Mio Superfirm Boob Tube, http://www.mamamio.com

Expecting mothers delight! Mama Mio is a company that is dedicated to making products that work to help women achieve “great skin for the nine month stretch and beyond.” Since the delicate skin around the bust area expands so much during pregnancy causing stretch marks and other unflattering changes, the company produced Boob Tube a cream that works as a barrier to breast changes during pregnancy so that skin does not suffer in the end.

The cream is an Essential Fatty Acid rich blend of evening primrose oil, avocado oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, and shea butter and with a heavy-duty anti-oxidant, CoQ10, which works to make skin look and feel firmer, soft and more toned. The result is a thick, soothing cream that fights to help you maintain some of the suppleness and elasticity that was there pre-bun in the oven.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Lifting Treatment, http://www.elemis.com

For busts that have seen a wrinkle (or two), Elemis Pro-Collagen Lifting Treatment that might help minimize the signs of the times. This anti-aging cream is for use of both the neck and the bust and bust to reduce skin creepiness and keep the skin more youthful-looking. Rich in anti-ageing properties of Padina Pavonica combined with Shea Butter, Sunflower, Macadamia and Jojoba Seed Oils this cream helps to tell Father Time to get his hands off! The thin cream is easy to rub in and carries a pleasant smell. It should be applied in the morning and evening in the neck and bust area in light upward strokes.

You might not be able to enlarge your bust with the use of a cream; still you can give your girls a different kind of boost by taking care of the skin in your bust area. No matter what your size, here’s to a perkier set that reaches for the sky rather than sinking into oblivion!
