In my nearly twenty years in the makeup industry, I am loathe to believe superlative claims such as “no dark circles…ever!” and “you’ll never break out again.” L’Oreal Youth Code BB Cream made me a believer in the effectiveness and visual impact of BB Cream. And just in time for the Fall fashion season, CC Cream is about to descend upon us and all skin types can rejoice.
BB Creams, or “Beauty Balms”, are somewhat dense and not ideal for oily and acne-prone skins. They’re intended to impart radiance and hydration and include sunscreen, working as multi-tasking foundation replacements or primers.
CC Creams, also known as “Color Control” and “Color Correction” creams, have a light texture and their endgame is to improve and balance the tone of skin. Ideal for those with oilier complexions, CC Creams are for those who want to improve discoloration and want their faces to look healthy and complete. People who seek full coverage will want to use stick or deeply pigmented foundations.
