Skin Care

By Patricia Wersinger

As many as 70% of women have combination skin and many ignore it, which causes unnecessary breakouts because they treat the oily areas like the dry/normal ones. Now more and more skin companies carry lines for combination skin with oil-free skincare that provides deep moisture and also controls oil.

Recently I was introduced to Repêchage’s newly launched T-Zone Balance, a full cleansing, serum and moisturizing set for combination skin. I love the line, which is infused with the healing properties of seaweed, an ingredient rich in iodine and anti-oxidants which provide oil free moisture. The cleansing lotion with St. John’s wort, and an antioxidant tea blend, balances combination skin and removes makeup without drying. The serum helps to control the shine of the T-zone and clears the face of dead skin cells. The facial lotion provides a film of moisture in the drier areas and balances the more oily areas. In the end, you can apply one of the translucent powders from the same company for a beautiful finish. Repêchage means both to fish out of the ocean and also to renew. Discover the whole line at http://www.Repechage.com

Garnier has a new BB Cream called Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector for combination skin that works to control shine, minimize pores on the nose and chin, mattify with mineral pigments, and even out skin tone. I apply it on the corners of my nose and chin, always reddish, then blend it on the rest of my face. It creates a light, natural finish with UV protection and won’t cause breakouts. It’s vailable in light/medium or dark/medium at http://www.Garnierusa.com

If you suffer from breakouts, yet feel blotchy /dry or have normal areas on your face, you have combination skin. By using a skincare line that addresses the needs of all areas, you can balance your skin and look your best.
