I like to think of Philosophy as the cosmetic embodiment of Barlett’s quotations – every bottle contains a thoughtful expression to live by. Their thinker mentality is also exhibited through various products that benefit charities. My favorites are the Red Delicious Apple Shampoo and the Laughing Gas room spray. Both remind me of Thankgiving desserts and both donate 100% of proceeds to their respective charities, MPower, Musicians for Mental Health, and The Entertainment Industry Foundation’s National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance. The body shampoo smells like a ripe, red apple and is best used with a round shower sponge rather than a loofah or washcloth because it’s easily absorbed and doesn’t lather excessively. The spray is an acquired smell, but the it subsides after a while. Either way, your house will smell like cinnamon, spice, and apple pie year round, a homey smell achieved the New York way – without cooking.
