Skin Care

By Stephanie Ila Silver-Silberstein

It wasn’t the Flobee. It wasn’t a Boflex or even a George Foreman Grill. The first item I ever purchased after watching an infomercial was Proactiv. The famous acne fighting skin regimen from the dermatological duo Rodan and Fields actually lived up to its guarantee and my skin was clearer after a few weeks. But, just when I thought the duo was a one-hit wonder, they’ve emerged with “Soothe”, a new regimen designed to combat sensitive, irritated skin, and facial redness.

The three-step regimen calms, soothes, and protects the skin by restoring the skin’s barrier and in turn, reducing skin sensitivity and irritation. By developing this “MULTI-MED therapy”, Rodan and Fields have concocted yet another surefire way to achieve beautiful, flawless skin or at the very least, feel like you do. The twice-a-day, three-step system instructs you to wash with the soothing facial cleanser, which contains caffeine and sea whip extract; treat with the facial cream; and protect with their UVA/UVB SPF 15 sunscreen, both of which contain murumuru butter, a rich emollient found in the Amazon, commonly used to calm frizzy hair. As needed, ease irritation, itchiness, and redness with the anti-itch lotion that contains one percent hydrocortisone cream, as well as aloe, and green tea.

So, when you no longer need the same products as Jessica Simpson but you’re not quite ready to call up Susan Lucci on QVC, Rodan and Fields have provided you with the Soothe line, a system that’s as easy to use as it is on your skin.
