This time of year, my skin gets so dry that my usual routine of serum and moisturizer just isn’t enough. Fortunately, Dior has just recently introduced a brand new line of anti-aging skin care, Dior Capture Totale Haute Nutrition, made for mature skin. (those of you under 35 can skip ahead to the next paragraph). There is a full complement of products – a Totale line of creams for eyes, face and body which all contain Trioleine Complex, rich in Omegas 3, 6 and 9 to replenish the skin with nutrients as well as Centuline, which helps improve skin vitality. My personal fave for the winter is the Haute Nutrition Oil Care. This is dewy heaven for those of us with dehydrated skin. The satiny formula targets fine lines and wrinkles and just two drops covered my entire face and made it feel soft and plumped. The range of products is available at major department stores, though the Nutrition Oil is a Bloomingdale’s exclusive. http://www.bloomingdales.com
It’s great when good things get even better. Elizabeth Arden, who put skin care into convenient little capsules long ago, has been ever so busy in the research lab and recently launched the new Ceramide Gold Ultra Lift and Strengthening Eye Capsules. This new formulation now contains even more powerful anti-aging ingredients, such as CLX Complex, (linolinic acids) peptides, and vitamins A, C & E, which fights the war on aging better than ever. The delicate skin around the eyes needs all the collagen building, brightening, smoothing and firming help it can get. Break open one of these time-in-a-capsule baby’s and watch the crows feet fly away! Available Macy’s and http://www.elizabetharden.com
Nothing says December holiday season like the sexy Little Black Dress, and the focus will be on your daring décolleté darling. It’s not about being big or small, it’s about keeping that area looking divine! From Guerlain, Success Future Neck and Décolleté Serum will help keep those naughty girls looking nice. Formulated with pure Amber extract technology, the serum targets the skin on the neck and décolleté and firms and tightens it using ingredients such as Meadowsweet, Hyaluronic acid and other botanicals. The formula builds collagen, improves elasticity, tautness and gives skin a velvety smoothness. Oh la la!
Available at Bergdorf Goodman, and http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com
Serum lovers rejoice! Zelens, the skin care line created by skin cancer doctor Marko Lens last year (you do remember me telling you about it, don’t you?) has created Radical Defense Serum. It’s got the same high potency anti-oxidants as the creams, but even more concentrated. It’s jam packed with ingredients that fight three types of free radicals – ROS, RCS, RNS – giving skin protection and repair from environmental damage. Oh, and FYI, that pretty little green leaf decorating your sushi platter the other day, is the shiso leaf, which is a Japanese mint and not only gives the serum its fresh scent, but is also a powerful anti-oxidant, so give it the respect it deserves! Q. What do you call two smart beauties’ that love multi-tasking skin care products and are dedicated to being truly organic?
Hellooooo…I’m talking organic revolution here! Newly launched Revolution Organics doesn’t just pay lip service to being green. These products have the USDA Certified Organic seal which represents the highest possible standard. Revolution Organics creators are busy, busy busy and wanted products that don’t just do double duty – I’m talking multi-tasking here.
The Skin Crème is a non-greasy ultra rich formula that really hydrates hands, feet, legs, and arms. It made my skin feel super soft and moisturized. They say it’s good for the face too, and I’m sure it is, I just personally prefer to separate face cream from body cream, but hey – that’s just me. You multi users feel free to use it everywhere. The crème has 15 ingredients, which includes green, white and oolong tea, aloe vera, vitamin C, rice bran, almond, apricot and olive oils. You could practically eat this stuff…..but please don’t!
