Skin Care

By Stacey Cervellino

Stila’s new line of skin care, Petal Infusions, was created to gently reveal healthy glowing skin, and to function as the perfect foundation for makeup. Stila opted for essential oils and flower essences with the hope of yielding harmony, inside and out.

The essential oils used in the Petal Infusions line not only balance the skin, but also put the mind at ease. The moisturizer for oily skin is infused with lemon and bergamot oils, and illawara flame tree essence, known to brighten dull complexions and control oil production.

The moisturizer for dry skin fuses red mandarin and rose otto oils with crowea essence to detoxify, tone, and moisturize the skin topically, while stimulating the senses internally. The purple crowea flower, found in Australia, has five petals, which by the laws of numerology signifies our emotional center.

The retexturizing scrub is a delicious blend of sweet orange oil, lemon oil, mint essence, and finely milled marble, for gentle daily exfoliation. The orange and lemon oils are soothing scents and make exfoliating enjoyable. It’s best to use the scrub toward the end of your shower, when your pores are open and your skin is more receptive.

The appealing blue bottles decorated with cream flowers, the light feminine scent, and the wonderful texture of the moisturizers make Stila’s new line the perfect winter pick-me-up for tired, dull skin.

Products range from $18-30, available at Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s.
