Spa

The Trump SoHo Hotel Spa is nothing short of a vacation the entire time you are there. Enter and you forget that you are in New York City, as you lounge in the relaxation room and gaze at the outdoor terrace garden. No city noise or view invades your existence. Prepare to relax in a luxurious, stress free haven.

During my visit I had one of the Trump Spa’s new treatments called the NYC SoHo Alternative to Injectables Facial. I was excited to try anything that is billed as an alternative to Botox. To date, I have not tried fillers, but I may one day succumb. This new 90-minute facial is an anti-wrinkle treatment that helps to diminish expression lines and wrinkles. The Trump Spa has partnered with Natura Bisse skincare to create this facial that includes products from the line.

When I arrived I changed into my robe in the small but well appointed changing room. The amenities include a shower, sauna and incredible toilets. You know that you are somewhere special when you walk into the bathroom and the toilet lifts up when you walk in. Then you sit on a heated seat and notice that you can be cleaned front and back with water as well as dried afterwards. I was in heaven before I even had my treatment.

I waited in the relaxation room drinking Calm tea and looking at the lush outdoor terrace garden. When my esthetician Daisy came, she led me upstairs on a shimmering tiled staircase and we passed a wall with an incredible water feature that made it seem like water was flowing down the wall. Just the walk to the treatment room kept my Zen mood alive.

The treatment began on a comfortable, heated bed in a relatively large room with a shower area. First my esthetician cleansed and massaged my face and also massaged my décolleté area. This facial is so much more than just an anti-wrinkle treatment; it brightens and generally improves your skin. You receive exfoliation and several masks, including a glycolic peel. The treatment includes the application of micro-current waves designed to regenerate your skin. Additional massage is performed to help relax wrinkles.

After the facial my skin looked plumper and my lines relaxed. I was thrilled with the results, and I was glad that I was heading out that night to show off my younger complexion. The only problem was that I didn’t want to leave. I took one of the Experience Showers, which are programmed to give you a different experience through Chromotherapy, the use of colored light waves. I chose Revitalize, which had a red toned warm energy light. After my shower I was in heaven and tempted to sit outside in the rooftop garden. But, alas, my respite was over and I had to go.
