Catering to the offspring of devotees, Kimberly McDonald has designed a line of fine jewelry using her signature geodes. The collection is called the Baby Geode line and though it was created with posh and stylish little ones in mind, the appeal is universal. Tiny geodes are enveloped in hand-made 18k white, yellow or rose gold bezels and set as rings, earrings or pendants. There are even pairs of pendants, created from a single geode that’s been sliced in half. Perfect for siblings or even twins.

Kimberly says that in addition to the fact that the sparkly geodes are fun to wear. they also inspire questions about rocks and nature and she hopes that having a piece of the collection will plant a seed in young wearers to think more about nature and natural resources, resulting environmentally-friendly adults. “I don’t expect everyone to be a rock-geek like I am, but these are pieces that will be fun for kids to wear, cool for teens to wear and even chic for adults to wear. If it inspires someone to consider the earth just a little more then they did, I’ll be happy.”

There aren’t “grow out of” pieces either. While children and teens were Kimberly’s inspiration for designing this diamond-free collection, fashionable women have also been snapping the Baby Geodes in droves. When asked is she is surprised, Kimberly responds, “Not really, geodes are beautiful and they have a great energy. They hold secrets, they inspire. They are tiny gemstones within a gemstone. Who wouldn’t love them?”

St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital will receive donation from every baby Geode sale.
