There is something regal about the entrance to the Four Seasons Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. I’m not sure if it is the polished marble floors or the hugewinding staircase. It could be the white-gloved valet or the ornate chandelier. No matter what that ‘it’ factor, you feel you’ve stepped into a real luxury hotel.
The hotel boasts fantastic amenities such as spa facilities and a state-of-the-art health club. There is a gorgeous pool and sun deck attached to the health club, which is available to all guests.
The Four Seasons also provides guests and locals alike with one of the best lounges in town. During my stay, I learned that it is a favorite watering hole for Atlanta’s elite. The Park 75 Lounge and Terrace has such a warm relaxing atmosphere, perfect for afterwork gatherings, pre-theater cocktails or after dinner drinks. After you have checked out the restaurant at the Four Seasons, Park 75, for the next great culinary experience, head just a block down the road to the South City Kitchen.
Perhaps the one shortcoming of the hotel is its rooms. Though I found the room to be spacious, I also felt that they could use some upgrading. The decor seemed a bit dated and the room, overall, leaves you a little wanting, particularly after such an impressive entrance upon arriving at the hotel. They are not poor in any way, they simply need a boost to match the rest of the hotel.
One of the best things about the Four Seasons Atlanta is its location. Simply stated, it’s near just about everything, minutes from the Fox Theater or Piedmont Park and not much further to the shopping Mecca of the Buckhead area, including both Phipps and Lenox mall. And the helpful concierge at the hotel will provide you with all the directions and suggestions for great local attractions that you need.
