The Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association and American Express have introduced their “Explore Porta del Sol” package, available until December 20, 2007. Visit Porta Del Sol (the exotic western region of Puerto Rico) and stay at any of the nine properties listed below. Guests will receive the net rate for their hotel stay, as well as daily continental breakfast, a $100 American Express Gift Card (to be used in Puerto Rico), a 15 percent discount at the Brasas Restaurant at the Rincon Beach Resort and a free tank of gas when renting from either Avis or Hertz.
The package is based on a minimum stay of four nights. Blackout dates include the month of July, August 31 through Sept. 3 and Nov. 22 to 25.
Visitors can enjoy surfing in Rincon, shopping on the streets of Mayagà¼ez or explore the lush and exotic Guanica State Forest. The possibilities are endless for travelers of all types.
