While spring fashion may be all the rage right now – taunting us with deceiving florals and warm weather charm – it remains blustery and cold in the Big Apple. But don’t let the mid-winter blues get you down, instead, hunker down under the covers with your Netflix queue and concoct one of your favorite (spiked) cold weather drinks.

Hot chocolate: A beloved favorite since we were kids, hot cocoa ushers in memories of building snowmen and slip sliding on sleds. While childhood memories can never be replaced, now you can make new inebriated ones with the help of Chocolat Royal Liqueur by Marie Brizard. It’s a sweet liqueur with a light kick that will definitely keep you warm.

Coffee: Everyone’s favorite morning pick-me-up and (for some) their life force, coffee offers plenty of enticing options to spike it with. Frangelico, the original hazelnut liqueur, is a great go-to if you like your caffeine a little nutty. For a twist on everyone’s favorite tequila, try adding a dash of Patron XO Café Dark to the brew. If you want something sweet, make a beeline Barenjager Honey Liqueur (perfect for cappuccinos). For a more traditional take, we suggest E&J VSOP Brandy since its smooth, rich taste is sure to do the trick.

Hot Apple Cider: An autumn delicacy that seamlessly transfers to winter can only be amped up with the help of some of our favorite rum. Look no further than Appleton Estate Rum, a rich aroma that delights the taste buds and only adds to Mother Nature’s fresh pressed glory. Another fabulous option is Flor De Cana Grand Reserve Rum that mixes wonderfully with cider and can be added with Campari for a deliciously intoxicating fireside drink.
