BeautyNewsNYC is the first online beauty magazine. Founded in 2003 by esteemed designer Kimberly McDonald, our loyal readership has proliferated ever since. We offer the swoon-worthy in beauty, lifestyle, fashion, and entertainment, both in NYC and around the world. Our mission: uncover intriguing products, places, and services, put them through their paces, and arm our readers with unbiased, genuine reviews from a group of writers whose tastes and experiences are as varied as those they serve.
Helmed by co-EICs/Publishers Candice Sabatini and Eva Whalen since 2011, BeautyNewsNYC reaches professional women, and we reach this cultured, savvy and sophisticated group through multiple channels: our magazine, our subscription-based City Pulse mailings, and various social media outlets.
Our articles resonate with beauty junkies ahead of the curve, hair & skincare fanatics, the fashion forward, fragrance lovers who know or want to know the difference between a chypre and a floriental, home décor dabblers, spa hoppers, culture vultures, pet owners who pamper their darlings, metro moms and metro men. Our city pulse section highlights what’s new in NYC and offers free giveaways. The travel section jet-sets you around the world, and our Health & Fitness section highlights all that whips you into shape or keeps you healthy. Cocktails, craft beers, and organic wine bars can be savored in our Wines & Spirits section. Check out our Deal of the Day for lucky readers, subscribe to our City Pulse mailing, and watch our helpful videos.
Our staff of professional writers and editors is comprised of genuine influencers who curate the beautiful and the interesting. While we do receive product samples from companies and publicists, we’re never influenced by those samples, advertising or sponsored ads. In other words: we don’t review products unless we love them.

Patricia Wersinger grew up in France where she studied English and Art. She was always fascinated with the United States and settled in New York after a few years studying around the country.
Her interests lie more specifically in holistic beauty, how to combine a healthy approach in harmony with the environment and an understanding of who you are. Patricia believes that a big part of beauty is psychological, a matter of finding peace in and out of yourself and developing deep interests that allow you to live with passion.
When you have passion, you are beautiful and cosmetics can help heighten what is inside you. It is important to have a style of your own and a strong identity that keeps evolving with the movement of time. Patricia lives in New York but loves to leave the city to renew herself with new sights and ideas. She loves anything that is artsy, eccentric, on the fringe, picturesque and full of life. Besides skincare, she loves to write about new fashion, health and fitness, design and art.
