Sam, THE DESSERTIST started her company back in 2008 when she realized her dream was to spend her life making luxury designer desserts. Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Sam grew up in a large family that loved to cook and bake on a regular basis and this is where she received her culinary training. Frosting her first chocolate cake at the age of 3 was the start of her incredible dessert adventure.

Since moving to NYC and starting THE DESSERTIST, she has created a name for herself and company within the culinary world. She has had the privilege to work with incredible talents such as Sandra Lee, Tom Colicchio and Marc Murphy all of the Food Network and has worked with three star Michelin rated chef Francois Payard. Her desserts have also made their way onto the sets of ABC's The Good Wife and NBC's 30 Rock and she has appeared at many Wine & Food festivals in New York and Connecticut.

She was awarded the title of Wunderkind - Westchester County's Most Successful in Business Under 30 and has taken that title and become involved with many charities. She serves as a Chef Ambassador for Cookies for Kids Cancer and also donates her time to No Kid Hungry and City Harvest.

Sam is a young mom and business woman who has become a voice for woman wanting to fulfill a dream and start their own business.

THE DESSERTIST is based in Westchester County and is always on the prowl to find the best desserts in NYC. You can find her floating around the city with her daughter, Charley, by her side.
