Established in 2020, Gomorrah is the brainchild of owners and hands-on creators Itzett Y. Romero and Max E. Sudak. This is not your typical off-the-rack, mass-produced line of clothing, but a well-made and styled line of apparel for both men and women.
I am a fan of the men’s long sleeve buttoned-up shirt in espresso layered with their signature t-shirt. These garments are cut individually by hand and sewn in New York City — today’s version of Orchard Street garment factories. However, the difference is the company’s care for the customer and the planet are most impressive — made with eco-friendly products such as the mother of pearl buttons that are upcycled from the food industry.
The men’s tailor-fit inside-out fleece comes in this awesome saffron color also ranks high this season. This shirt is not only hot (haute) on all skin pigments, but also warm for the dropping temps. Once again the quality and craftsmanship are a step above with French seams, yokes with enclosed seams, invisible stitching, etc.
While Metro Man focuses on fashion, grooming and items for men, this unisex t-shirt is worth purchasing one for everyone on your list. They call it the “bodega” — I call it shop now, shop locally, and help our planet.
Note: All garments from Gomorrah can be composted. That being said, you wear it when it’s time to go simply bury it to help replenish the forest.
Read Metro Man every month for the latest in men’s fashion, health, hygiene and grooming.
